At NCT, our volunteer network plays a vital role in supporting parents through the first 1,000 days of parenthood. Our aim is to support, serve and enable a great volunteering experience so that parents can support parents. As Volunteer Support Officer – Engagement, you will use your storytelling skills to inspire and engage volunteers and parents across our network. You will embed NCT’s case for support across all of our communication channels. Harnessing the voices of volunteers, you will work with teams across the organisation to co-produce our volunteering resources and shape our core messages.
As an experienced fundraising or volunteering professional you will apply your knowledge to ensure that branch volunteers are supported throughout their volunteer journey. Your general knowledge will be valuable for day-to-day support, and your customer service and communication skills will be first rate. Your specialist area of interest will be fully utilised to develop key areas of the volunteer journey and to review and develop volunteer recognition processes, volunteer communications, and deliver our annual awards programme (NCT Stars).
You will be based in our London office with occasional travel to branches across the UK and travel to our Bristol office once a quarter. For the right candidate, we could consider this role as homebased with travel to London and Bristol twice a quarter and occasional travel across the UK.
