Job description

At NCT, our volunteer network plays a vital role in supporting parents through the first 1,000 days of parenthood. Our aim is to support, serve and enable a great volunteering experience so that parents can support parents. As Volunteer Support Officer – Events, you will support volunteers to promote and run brilliant local activities to support parents in our local branches across the UK. You will be able to maximise the fundraising potential within our branches, and inspire volunteers to engage with NCT’s charitable objectives.

As an experienced fundraising or volunteering professional you will apply your knowledge to ensure that branch volunteers are supported throughout their volunteer journey. Your general knowledge will be valuable for day-to-day support, and your customer service and communication skills will be first rate. Your specialist area of interest will be fully utilised to develop key areas of the volunteer journey and to review and develop volunteer-led events to ensure that they are family-friendly and financially viable.

You will be based in our Bristol office with occasional travel to branches across the UK and travel to our London office once a quarter.  For the right candidate, we could consider this role as homebased with travel to London and Bristol twice a quarter and occasional travel across the UK.
