Position Title: Assistant Director – Early Years

Location: London Fields, Hackney
Status: Fixed Term, 1 year (Maternity Cover), Full Time – 35 hours per week
Salary: £56,280 per annum

You will be joining NCB at an exciting time, leading our Early Childhood Unit (ECU) as Assistant Director.

Inside NCB you will work across our organisation, connecting with policy, research and our wide reach into early childhood from education, social care and SEND perspectives.

Externally you will represent our organisation, collaborating with a wide range of organisations in the charity and community sector, along with government departments and statutory agencies.

The purpose of this role is:

  • To take a leading role in relation to the management and strategic direction of work within NCB including contribution to the development of internal policies and procedures, generating income and raising the profile of the organisation.
  • To take overall responsibility for identified areas of NCB policy and practice.  This role is specifically for early years, leading the Early Childhood Unit.
  • To build, develop and maintain a range of programmatic work, including support for fundraising.
  • To contribute to overall strategic direction of NCB and to advocate NCB’s work with stakeholders.

This is a maternity cover position, commencing May 2020 for a year.
