London based, 35 hours p/w
Contract: Temporary – maternity cover up to 1 year
£46,510 per annum

We are looking for an experienced programme manager to cover while our current post holder is on maternity leave. This varied role leads some of our exciting programmes of work across child health and mental health including our work nationally and locally to support improved joint working on the SEND agenda; supporting Headstart partnerships with their sustainability planning; and our parental peer training programmes.

The successful candidate will have expertise in children’s health, and knowledge of the systems across health and local authorities which interplay to plan and commission services. They should be highly motivated and an experienced programme manager, confident at delivering a consultancy based model of support, as well as experience of meeting finance and project monitoring and reporting requirements of contracts for external funders.

Excellent programme management and communication skills are essential for this role as are strong IT and writing skills, along with experience of delivering training events and facilitating workshops and managing staff. You need to be passionate about what you do, have an interest in health and health systems, enjoy working in a fast paced environment and be comfortable working both independently, with team members and with others in our partner organisations.

A commitment to addressing health inequalities for vulnerable groups of children and young people is essential.
