Job description

For over 50 years the National Children’s Bureau (NCB) has been building a better childhood for all.

We are looking for a Senior Programmes Officer to help lead our exciting programmes of work across children’s health with a particular focus on overseeing our new delivery support contract with the NHS England Learning Disabilities and Autism team.

Position: Senior Programmes Officer - Learning Disabilities & Autism
Location: London Fields. Hybrid, flexible way of working and many staff work remotely for part of the week. Staff can choose to work in the office or remotely as much as their role allows.
Contract: Full time, Permanent
Salary: £38,773 per annum, plus great benefits such as 30 days annual leave and 3 days company x-mas closure

The successful candidate will have expertise in children’s health.  They should be highly motivated and an experienced project manager, confident at delivering training to health professionals and facilitating group learning.

Excellent project management and communication skills are essential for this role as are strong IT and writing skills along with experience of delivering training events.  You need to be passionate about what you do, have an interest in health, enjoy working in a fast paced environment and be comfortable working both independently, with team members and with others in our partner organisations.

A commitment to addressing health inequalities for vulnerable groups of children and young people is essential.
