We are seeking an individual with a strong skill set in securing funding from a range of sources e.g. Grants (Regional, National & International), Charitable Trust's, Donors, low-level giving & donations etc. Specialist knowledge and experience of sourcing and securing grant funding will be essential to support the delivery of our ambitions for this special place.

This is a 2 year fixed term role which will focus on the development and delivery of a bespoke Fundraising Strategy for Mount Stewart.

What you'll be doing

As part of the Northern Ireland Regional Consultancy team, this role will report directly to the Consultancy Manager lead for Support & Revenue. The Support & Revenue Consultancy team disciplines include Commercial, Membership, Fundraising and Tourism. The key priority for this team is to grow support for our work as a conservation charity and increase revenue to enable us to look after the special places in our care.

This Fundraising Consultancy role will be dedicated to support the delivery of one of our key regional projects at Mount Stewart. In fulfilling this role, you will work in close partnership with the Regional Fundraising Consultants, the Regional Consultancy team, National Fundraising team and the General Manager, Project Manager and Property team at Mount Stewart.

The core place of work will be Mount Stewart, Newtownards, however as a Regional Consultant you will also be required to work from the Regional Office at Rowallane Garden, Saintfield as business needs require.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative individual with a strong understanding of fundraising. In summary, this role requires:

  • High levels of strategic thinking
  • Experience of leading and managing teams
  • A strong understanding of what makes a successful funding application/relationship
  • Knowledge and experience of fundraising practices
  • The ability to identify opportunities and take these through to delivery
  • Excellent stakeholder and community engagement skills
  • Time management, prioritisation and administrative skills to ensure deadlines are met
