Job description

The National Youth Agency (NYA) is at a very exciting point in its development, and we are a looking for a JNC qualified youth worker with a passion for workforce development with the experience, proven track record and energy to support us to develop a skilled and effective youth sector workforce come and join our team.

We need a proactive person that can competently manage a mixed portfolio and bring youth work expertise to everything we do. This role requires a JNC qualified youth worker with experience within a higher educational institution setting or who is experienced in the design and delivery of youth work training.

This role will include leadership of the professional validation programme (JNC) and support the Education and Training Standards Committee (ETS) as well as ensuring the wider NYA’s training and quality standards guidance. You will work closely with the Head of National Workforce to deliver on the national workforce strategy and evolve the NYA approach to establishing a register for youth workers.

NYA holds a unique position within the youth sector. We are the national body for youth work, and the Professional Statutory Regulatory Body (PSRB) for youth work in England. We are the cornerstone of a great profession and we have been transforming lives through youth work for over 50 years. We strive every day to champion, professionalise and enable great youth work, driving up the quality and quantity of safe and impactful practice.
