The National Youth Agency is looking for a dynamic, digitally savvy Youth Work Participation Worker who is passionate about empowering young people and pioneering digital youth work practices.

Contract: 12-Month FTC, Part-time (25 hours per week)
Salary: Band 6 £24,246 to £30,858 pro-rata per annum (dependant on experience and qualifications)
Location: Home based/Remote working

We are the professional, statutory, and regulatory body (PSRB) responsible for qualifications, quality standards and safeguarding for youth work and services in England. In line with our charity mission and aims, we also champion youth work through research, advocacy, campaigns, and programmes.

Our Youth Work Participation Worker will work in a team at the forefront of revolutionising youth engagement.
Be part of our ‘Routes to Community Success’ digital initiative and help us achieve our 2030 vision of a digital-first youth work environment. The Youth Work Participation Worker role will be crucial in integrating digital culture into our practices, enhancing our outreach, and ensuring that young people's voices are heard and valued. You will be responsible for overseeing our digital platforms, creating impactful resources, and collaborating with key players across the youth work and digital landscapes to create a framework for excellence.
The Youth Work Participation Officer will also be part of our national Peer Review Programme, funded by the DCMS, where you'll guide young people in assessing and shaping the youth work services in their communities. Your expertise will offer invaluable insights to local authorities, driving sector-led improvements and catering to the evolving needs of young people.
Responsibilities will include:
- Recruiting, training and managing young people from across England.
- Supporting young people to facilitate consultation sessions with their peers.
- Monitoring and evaluating they programme with young people, gathering feedback from participants and stakeholders, and implementing improvements as needed.
- Working with young people to identify existing Digital Youth Work provision across England and develop a plan to consult with young people and youth workers about existing provision and identify gaps.
- Supporting the Digital Youth Work Development Manager to develop a Digital Youth Work network in England with specialist networks in participation, practice and safeguarding
- Working with young people to build a network of voluntary sector and statutory service Youth Work providers who work with young people (11 – 25 years)
- Overseeing the creation of digital content, including social media and programme materials.
- Advocating for the importance of Digital Youth Work and its positive impact on young people, both internally within the organisation and externally in the wider community.
- Staying up-to-date with emerging digital trends and technologies relevant to Youth Work, and proactively integrate them into the programme to enhance engagement and reach.
