About the role:
NEON has spent the last six years developing our core content; it’s powerful, is widely endorsed and is being used by hundreds of organisers across the country to build movements and win campaigns. Within our new Movement Building Hub, we deliver this content through immersive trainings, responsive organising support and deep-dive coaching and mentoring on issues from climate change to migration.
The Head of Movement Coaching will lead the adaptation and delivery of our flagship year-long coaching and mentoring programme OrgBuilders, as well as design a new Rapid Response programme, and recruit and train a network of associate coaches. Together these programmes are designed to build and support the development of strong movement organisations running winning campaigns.
There are no formal education requirements for this role. As long as you can show us you have the skills we don't mind where you got them from. Also important to us is your potential and willingness to learn and grow in the role so even if you don't have 100% of the skills listed, or come from a very different sector or industry, we want to hear from you.
The New Economy Organisers Network (NEON) is a not-for-profit company with 15 staff. We also work with a range of contractors and Associates and incubate other organisations. We are a network of over 1,600 UK organisers from different trade unions, grassroots groups, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), faith-based campaigns, civil society groups and movements from across the country. We support campaigns to help progressives win social, economic and environmental justice.
We run trainings, share skills and coordinate together on campaigns helping people to lead movements like Just Treatment (organising patients to fight for the NHS) through to working with our members to get over 2,500 media bookings across the UK’s biggest TV/radio outlets. We’re ambitious and the team is agile, fast paced and committed to actually changing things.
