About the role

The Head of Movement Organising is responsible for NEON’s organising practice, training and network of practitioners. We are looking for someone who understands the broader political context that social movements are working within in the UK, and who is able to think long-term about possible organising interventions necessary to win real change.

Your role is to ensure that the NEON community is organising in the most up to date, strategic way to empower our members to win big change on our “battleground” issues which currently include health, migrant rights, climate and housing justice. Your principal areas of focus will be: to deliver on NEON’s 2022 organising strategy while continuing to develop NEON’s thinking on organising best practice; to lead on Transformative Organising, our new training course for organisers; to support our members to apply organising practice in real world and rapid response scenarios through our coaching offer; and to work collaboratively within the Movement Building Hub to develop and implement our battleground work. In addition, this role will share responsibility for managing our incubated organisations.
