About the role
Our client believe that people can and do recover from the issues that create homelessness and they are working across Bristol delivering shifts on the streets, drop-ins at local Day Centre’s, and working with accommodation providers and the local authority, to reduce rough sleeping to as close to zero as possible.
When working as an Outreach Worker you are involved in making contact with people sleeping rough, assessing their needs and delivering personalised case management; to support individuals to make the move away from the streets. Outreach Workers also work in partnership with multi-disciplinary teams and agencies.
What our client are looking for
Our client are looking for highly motivated people who share their ambition and have some experience of dealing directly with the public and/or customers in a busy service environment. Great communication skills and experience of working effectively with others is essential in this role.
This role will suit someone with experience in dealing with rough sleepers with multiple needs and the ability to work with challenging behaviour. You will also have some understanding of the issues faced by homeless or vulnerably housed people and the difficulties they experience in accessing services. If you have the ability to empower individuals to make positive changes and a willingness to develop these valuable skills they want to hear from you.
Above all they are looking for inspirational, committed individuals who have a genuine desire to support people to rebuild their lives.
Flexibility is required as you will be working outreach shifts at unsocial hours in accordance with the rota that may include, early, late and night shifts.

Pay and Other Benefits
Our client is proud to pay client facing staff above average for the sector. They run a cycle to work scheme and also offer season tickets loans to all staff. Our client contribute 4% of your gross annual salary, and you are able to enrol in the Defined Contribution scheme following a successful probationary period in which the employer contribution is 6%. For this role staff can claim an additional 20% pay premium for hours worked between 8pm and 8am Monday to Friday, and all hours worked on Saturday and Sunday.
