If you are an experienced and innovative Youth Activism Manager and would like to work for one of the UK’s best-loved nature charities, then our client have an exciting opportunity for you to lead The Trusts’ strategic ambition in establishing a youth led approach.
They are looking for someone with experience in co-creating and integrating large scale, youth led programs within organisations or movements. Experience of the environmental sector is desirable but not essential, your skills in developing young people and youth-led programs will be key.

As part of addressing the combined nature, climate, and health crises it is no longer enough to just think about slowing the loss of the natural world and protecting what remains of their wildlife. Decline must be stopped, and reversed, and nature put into recovery to restore biodiversity, stabilise the climate, create an education system built on nature connection, protect the health and wellbeing of billions of people - and much more besides.
This will only happen when people are enabled and inspired to be part of the change that is needed, and to encourage those with power to do the same. Nature’s recovery must be done by and with people - inclusive, welcoming, diverse, growing communities of people - if it’s going to happen at the scale and pace required to make a difference. And of course, while making positive changes for wildlife, people and communities will experience the many benefits in return.
The Campaigning and Communities Team enables The Trusts’ unique contribution to the nature, climate and health crises with local action building a collective impact, as part of a global story.
They are looking for someone proficient in determining and responding to young people’s needs and aspirations, in turn helping to create a much better-informed network of the Trusts. You will have an eye for detail and excellent organisation and administration skills.
You will be part of a tight and dedicated central team and will need to be self-motivated and able to plan well and enjoy doing this with others. You will be a brilliant facilitator, able to work across both formal and informal groups to draw conclusions and establish ways forward. In addition, you will need to enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, be resourceful, an excellent networker and you’ll be a reliable support to fellow colleagues.
