Job description

HOURS   32 hours per week – flexible working

BASE     Home working with access to facilities across Mid Nottinghamshire.

Background to the Post

Driven by the need of our communities, the knowledge that the public sector is increasingly looking to the voluntary and community sector and its leaders for greater partnerships, and a firm belief that collaboration could well be the saviour of the voluntary sector, Ashfield Voluntary Action (AVA), Mansfield CVS (MCVS), & Newark & Sherwood CVS (NSCVS) have formed an informal alliance to begin a dialogue around working better together.

The mid Nott’s CVSs are the point of contact for our local voluntary sector; “Working with the Community for the Community”. As CVSs we are well connected with our communities and have chosen to work together because our vision, mission, values and strategic goals complement each other.

We have many cross-cutting themes in our areas and working together we could form a strong robust voluntary sector partnership for the whole of Mid Nottinghamshire.

In order to move this work forward we have been awarded a Development Grant from the Community Fund to support a one-year Partnership Development Post.
