Newport (On-site)
£27,741 - £31,346 per year
Temporary, Fixed term until 31/03/2023, Full-time
Job description

The Family Wellbeing & Resilience Service is funded by Newport City Council via the Children and Communities Grant to provide support to families to build and maintain resilience towards mental health difficulties. Working in partnership with other Families First partners and the Single Point of Access to Children’s Emotional Wellbeing scheme, we provide early intervention and prevention support to those most deprived families within Newport.

We provide support to families through individual work, family sessions and group work, following the Resilience Framework and 5 Ways to Wellbeing principles. Our aim is to increase resilience within a family, by enabling them to make positive changes to their emotional and mental wellbeing and to talk more openly about their mental health.

The maternity cover role will work with the current Family Wellbeing & Resilience Service Coordinator until early March 2022, taking full responsibility of the project through to March 2023.
