Job description

The Systems Change Project is a co-design project. Our ambition is to ensure that young people feel listened to and supported with their mental health outside of traditional education settings, particularly young men, BAME and LGBTQ+ young people, and those from deprived backgrounds. We hope this will lead to increased diversity and accessibility in our own volunteer cohort too.  


The project runs from July 2021 to October 2022. The result will be a tested and costed model that ensures that the trusted adults and volunteers who facilitate youth provisions and alternative education provisions are able to support and listen to the diverse young people they support, in the way young people would like to be supported and listened to, and that young people know where to get support and how to get involved in change making themselves.  


The project is split into two phases. Phase 1 lasting from July to December 2021 will research and develop potential responses to the issue identified. Phase 2 lasting from January to October 2022 will pilot these approaches, evaluate appropriately and share learning for guidance.
