Service Charge Manager

We’re looking for a Service Charge Policy and Systems Manager to play a crucial role in our Finance Department.
Position: Service Charge Policy and Systems Manager
Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: £45,682 per annum (10% increase after 12 months' service, depending on performance)

The difference you’ll make
The Service Charge Policy and Systems Manager will develop the Group strategy and associated policies for service charges, translating legislation and government guidelines into specific rules to ensure the accurate formulation of service charges for all customers, the maintenance of associated models, calculators and systems.
You will provide expertise to wider Finance and Operational colleagues with complex, high profile and high profile service charge matters, including the business rules and formulae associated with service charges and manage the small Service Charge Policy team ensuring all customer, financial and administrative activity is carried out to ensure timely delivery.
So, who are you?
We are looking for an experienced leader with up to date knowledge of legislation, regulations and standards relating to service charge policy within the housing sector as well as a detailed understanding of how wider government and regulatory policy impacts on service charge setting in housing associations. You’ll have demonstrable experience of successfully developing and implementing Service Charge policies and processes within a large organisation.
Your strengths are communication, influencing skills, a strong customer focus, managing conflicting priorities, attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement. You are results driven, work well under pressure to deliver to strict deadlines and have strong knowledge of accounting procedures.
Although not essential, a recognised accountancy qualification, previous experience within a similar sector, evidence of continued professional development, knowledge of IT systems relating to service charges and financial modelling experience would be desirable.
