How to apply
The purpose of the Fundraising Manager is to co-ordinate the fund raising appeal to purchase an MRI Scanner in Shetland. The post holder will lead the appeal and a part-time co-opted team to ensure that the appeal is planned and carried out effectively.
The post holder will be expected to establish a local fund raising campaign and support volunteers to undertake their own fund raising activities. This is building on the work that local people have already undertaken to launch the funding raising campaign and raised over £50,000 in 2018. The post holder will also co-ordinate the development of larger scale grant funding applications and work with contractors employed on behalf of the Endowment Fund to deliver specific services e.g. promotion, marketing, branding, bid writing etc
The Fundraising Manager will be directed by the Trustees of the Endowment Fund which has formed a sub group to lead the MRI appeal campaign and will hold a delegated Endowment Fund budget in order to manage the functioning of the appeal campaign.
