The Nicaragua Solidarity Campaign is the leading body in the UK supporting peace and progress for the people of Nicaragua. We work with Nicaraguan organisations fighting for social, economic and environmental justice, and promote public understanding in the UK of Nicaragua’s battle against poverty.

The charity is made up of individual members throughout the UK, Wales NSC and local organisations with twinning links and projects in Nicaragua. Trade union linking is carried out through our sister organisation, the Nicaragua Solidarity Campaign Action Group (NSCAG).


Job Description

NSC is looking for a finance coordinator who will be responsible to the Board of Trustees to oversee all finance functions within NSC and NSCAG, ensuring that they can fulfil their operational and strategic commitments. You will be responsible for the timeliness and effectiveness of the Finance and Accounting functions in the organisation. You will need to work within the aims and ethos of NSC and to have high standards of practice.

You will be joining a small and dedicated team currently mostly working remotely from home. Working from home is an option beyond Covid, although there will be monthly meetings in our London office once it is safe to have them.

Starting salary:  £33,850 pro rata with 6 annual increments, rising to £40,165.

Contracted hours:  Part time: 32.5 hours per month, with the opportunity of additional hours within the year at times of greater need. Some flexibility of working hours will be needed to align with the accounting cycle.

Holidays:  25 days holiday pa plus Bank Holidays, pro rata.
