The Peer Support Coordinator will play a critical role in the delivery of Day One's Peer Support Service. The primary objectives are to ensure a high-quality service is delivered to our beneficiaries; to develop our regional peer support model; and to facilitate a positive volunteering experience for our lived experience volunteer team. Responsibilities will include the day-to-day coordination of peer support activity. This will involve sensitive communication with trauma-affected individuals to understand their needs and preferences, using this information to facilitate suitable peer support matches.

The postholder will contribute to building a diverse volunteer team by supporting the volunteer recruitment and induction processes. They will offer ongoing support, guidance and motivation to our volunteers, ensuring meaningful opportunities to engage with Day One. The postholder will support the Peer Support Manger to conduct regular reviews with volunteers to gather feedback on their experiences as well as supporting their personal and professional development.

The Peer Support Co-ordinator will monitor service delivery and volunteer activity to ensure it is operating within agreed policies and processes. To ensure we can evidence the success and quality of the service, a key aspect of the role will involve keeping accurate records of interventions as well as collecting regular evaluation/impact data and personal case studies.

You will be a compassionate individual, dedicated to ensuring the highest quality of support for our beneficiaries and volunteers alike. You will be empathic with strong active listening skills, able to demonstrate sensitivity and discretion in your communication with trauma-affected individuals.  You will be adept at identifying individual’s support needs and have strong social/communication skills enabling you to facilitate appropriate and meaningful peer support matches. Possessing excellent organisational skills, you will thrive in the fast-paced and reactive environment of peer support service delivery.

You will be committed to maintaining high standards and have a keen eye for detail able to keep accurate records of interventions and collect evaluation/impact data with regularity. Additionally, you will have a proactive approach to building and supporting a diverse volunteer team.  You will be a ‘people-person’, enjoy speaking with others, and have the knowledge and confidence to offer ongoing guidance and motivation to our volunteer team. Your ability to conduct regular reviews to gather feedback to support volunteers' personal and professional development will be essential in driving the continued success of our peer support service. About the role  

As the charity works to double the number of women it helps, we are recruiting for a Fundraising Events Lead to join our Newcastle team. Reporting to the Centre Manager, they will engage new and existing supporters and achieve income targets, raising vital funds across events and community fundraising to support of our mission.

In practice, this involves identifying new locations to deliver our annual events calendar including our sustainable fashion sales, and delivering our annual community fundraising campaign to target income, Cycle for Smart Works.

They will also work with our Communications Assistant to deliver engaging digital content about our events and community fundraising initiatives across various social media platforms.

The successful candidate will have good relationship building skills to ensure lasting and mutually beneficial event partnerships, and excellent written communication skills.

The role will be based at our Smart Works centre in Newcastle with occasional travel to set-up and host corporate and community events. Occasional weekend and evening work is also required to lead and support on our events calendar.

Duties and responsibilities

• Leading on Smart Works Newcastle’s signature fundraising events, including high-end supporter events, fashion sales, and pop-up shops, managing the project from planning to execution and ensuring income targets of circa £55K are met.
• Effectively steward and manage multiple event partners to increase annual gift-in-kind support, clothing donations and engagement.
• Manage all external stakeholders involved in an event, sharing event briefs with the staff and trustee team.
• Seek networking opportunities to grow our supporter base, through community fundraising and corporate partnerships, owning KPI income targets for community and events.
• Working with the London HQ Community Fundraising Manager, to deliver our annual community fundraising campaigns such as Cycle for Smart Works and local events such as the Great North Run to income target c. £20k.
• Deliver an event from concept to delivery, ensuring key metrics are shared with the Communications Assistant to update our stakeholder groups accordingly.
• Supporting the team with other income generation streams such as grant applications, corporate relationships and working with the London HQ functions for each stream.

Personal Specification 

Essential criteria

• Demonstrable experience in event management and delivery, raising income in excess of £55k per annum. Event management in a fundraising capacity is highly desirable.
• Strong relationship building skills and confidence managing various stakeholders.
• Target driven with excellent organisation and time management capabilities, demonstrating an ability to prioritise and work to deadlines.
• Effective project-management skills, with proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Desirable Criteria

• Experience of writing applications for charitable trust grants is highly desirable.
• A detailed understanding of the fundraising landscape across Newcastle is highly desirable.
• Confident user of Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel) and digital content creation software such as Canva and Adobe InDesign, for professional settings.
• Experience in a fundraising or sales-based role.
• Experience working with VIPs or influencers.

he Fundraising Officer will work as part of the Fundraising team and focus on delivering income targets from trusts and foundations. The role is responsible for growing LDCT’s trust and foundation income by increasing the amount and longevity of funding from current supporters, as well as building a portfolio of new trusts and foundations through research, maintaining a pipeline of prospects, updating the Funding Matrix and making successful applications. Building good relationships with new funders including regular reporting, as well as good stewardship of existing funders, is an important part of the role.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Delivering on fundraising priorities and targets for trusts and foundations income, including our current and future major appeals.
2. Researching, identifying, and prioritising appropriate trusts and foundations to maintain and convert a pipeline of new, prospective trusts and foundations.
3. Working with colleagues across the organisation to help shape projects for funding and creating strong Cases for Support to ensure effective applications.
4. Writing and submitting high quality targeted funding applications.
5. Maintaining an effective stewardship programme for trusts and foundations including appropriate accurate records, ensuring the fundraising e-Tapestry database is kept up-todate and that fundraising income is processed efficiently with timely thank you letters and acknowledgements.
6. Managing relationships with existing and new funders to encourage maximum funding, multi-year funding awards and repeat funding.
7. Monitoring outcomes, updating the Funding Matrix and producing timely reports and information as required externally by funders and internally for Management reporting.
8. Promoting the support of funders through press releases and social media posts.
9. Adhering to standards of fundraising best practise as set out in the Institute of Fundraising’s Code of Practise and ensuring all activities comply with relevant Data Protection obligations and any other legislation

About the role

As Project Officer you will play a central role in the delivery of INTRAC’s consultancy assignments and grant funded projects. About the Role

Humanists International has another separate entity based in the US. This role will be a part of the UK operations team but will collaborate with the US finance team occasionally when it’s required, for example, during the audit period. Both UK and US finance teams are managed by the same Director of Finance and Operations who is based in London. 

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can provide excellent finance and administrative support to the small, predominantly home-based team. We’re seeking someone who is personable, highly organised, has attention to detail and is keen to take initiative and learn new skills. Onboarding training will be provided, but we would like you to demonstrate transferable skills. 

You will work on a wide variety of tasks which will include bookkeeping and bank reconciliations, being the first point of contact for the organisation, as well as providing general administrative support to the team. You will be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively across a diverse international team.

This is a full-time or part-time with a minimum of 4 days/week (0.8 FTE), permanent position, which is predominantly home-based but does require the attendance of in-person events such as the General Assembly and Team Building. Key Responsibilities

• Taking charge of the day-to-day financial activities and office administration of the organisation.

• Ensuring high-accuracy bookkeeping and bank reconciliation are completed to deadlines. 

• Ensuring adequate financial documents are filed on Drive to comply with the audit requirements.

• Preparing invoices and receipts to stakeholders as required.

• Generating month-end Budget vs. Actual Report from accounting software on time, for the Director of Finance and Operations to review. 

• Preparing financial data for quarterly Finance Report in tables for the Director of Finance and Operations to conduct quarterly financial analysis.

• Assisting the Director of Finance and Operations with the preparation of financial data, tables and files for the annual budgeting and UK audit.

• Reviewing and processing expense claims. And ensuring the Expenses Policy is being followed. 

• Preparing and attaching expense receipts to the CEO’s monthly credit card statements.

• Being the first point of contact of the organisation. Managing office inbox, answering office calls and sorting out the letters.

• Attending online board meetings (four times a year on Saturdays) and investment committee meetings (twice a year on weekdays between 5-7pm) to take meeting minutes. Board meetings normally take 3 hours and investment committee meetings take 45 minutes. These meetings are usually planned 6-8 months in advance.  TOILs will be provided when the meeting is held outside your normal working hours.

• Assisting the CEO with board papers and circulating them to board members before board meetings.

• Arranging flights and accommodations for the CEO and board members to attend in-person meetings when required.

• Arranging meetings for the CEO when required.

• Assisting staff and board members with queries on finance or administrative matters.

• Any other appropriate duties.

Essential Skills

• Accounting, finance, or economics qualification.

• A minimum of two years’ experience in bookkeeping and administration roles. 

• Experience using financial software. e.g. Quickbooks, Xero, Sage or equivalent.

• Understanding of the chart of accounts structure, cash/accrual accounting basis.

• Understanding of the expense claim process.

• Experience preparing the budget. (Not necessarily the whole organisation’s budget, but specific section(s), for example, travel costs and fixed-costs related budget lines would be essential.)

• Excellent organisation, time management and multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritise and plan a busy workload. 

• Self-motivated and able to meet all deadlines.

• Supportive, collaborative and able to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be required to:

We’re looking for someone with experience of team administration, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate when required at all levels internally and externally to fulfil a critical role that underpins the work of the Midlands team. 

About the role 

You’ll provide high quality admin support to the Midlands team, coordinate, plan and prep key meetings, and provide first point contact for both internal and external stakeholders. Including working coproductively with people living with Parkinson’s.

As members of the Community Directorate we aim to reach out to and support people with Parkinson’s, their families, friends and carers.  We enable the voice of people affected by Parkinson’s to be heard to improve services, inform our priorities and improve decision making locally.

Through community development we work in close collaboration with our respective Parkinson’s communities to bring change on the issues that matter most to people affected by Parkinson’s

What you’ll do:

• Organise online and in-person, internal and external meetings and other events, including booking venues and refreshments, assisting with the production of materials, liaising with participants and speakers, fulfilling mailings and taking bookings as required

• Keep up to date with the directorate’s activities in order to provide clear, accurate information, and support the process of business performance and impact reporting 

• Respond to general enquiries in a timely and friendly  fashion, ensuring needs are met, and participate in working groups, meetings, local events or activities as required

• Maintain digital records on the charity’s data platforms

What you’ll bring:

• Excellent administration skills, including note-taking, presentation preparation and a positive, assertive and resilient approach to prioritising and juggling varying pressures and conflicting priorities 

• Experience in coordinating multiple projects simultaneously that meet the business requirements 

• Experience of developing and maintaining effective working relationships with all stakeholders 

• Experience of operating in a modern digital workplace, including using digital tools to work collaboratively and productively 

• Ability to work flexibly and from home with some travel and the occasional overnight stay

We have an opportunity for an Individual Giving Assistant to join our Individual Giving team, working within the acquisition sub-team. You will join us working 35 hours per week and in return you will receive a competitive salary of up to £26,796 per annum plus excellent benefits.

It’s an exciting time to be joining the award-winning Cats Protection Individual Giving team. We have a new strategy, a new structure and lots of opportunities to shine! The team is responsible for Acquiring new supporters for the charity, retaining the quarter of a million or so people that support us already – and raising over £20 million. Due to expansion of the team, a number of new roles have become available working remotely or from or offices at the National Cat Adoption Centre in Sussex. It’s fast-paced, thought provoking and varied work on a range of income generation products and channels.

Responsibilities of our Individual Giving Assistant:

The Acquistion & Retention teams, which make up the Individual Giving team, work together to maxmise the long-term return on investment for individual donors. In this varied role, you will play a key part in delivering the charity’s Individual Giving programme from concept to delivery, ensuring communications are delivered on time, to the agreed audience, within budget and to the highest quality. You will support in managing relationships with various external agencies, ensuring Cats Protection receives the best possible service. You will also liaise with a number of internal departments to ensure they are briefed on Individual Giving Activity.

What we’re looking for in our Individual Giving Assistant:

• Experience of assisting with the organisation of projects/activities or schedules
• Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively – orally and in writing - with a wide range of individuals
• Good organisational skills and an ability to meet deadlines
• An understanding of the principles of Data Protection

About CleanupUK  

We’re a small charity that brings communities together to create cleaner, connected and safer urban and rural neighbourhoods by tackling the litter problems where they live. Litter-picking brings people closer together, enables neighbours to meet one another other and helps create a greater sense of pride and community in local areas.

Historically, we have delivered litter-picking focussed community engagement projects in London and Birmingham. Our current focus is developing partnerships with community organisations across England to expand our reach and increase impact.

Main duties of the role 

• To provide a pro-active, high-quality administration and support service to the Operational Team, Chief Executive and the Corporate Partnerships team. 

Operational Team: Deals with logistics, processes and day to day functions of our work on the ground with community partners and volunteers. 

• To attend weekly team meetings 

• To assist in research into new areas of operation for the charity. 

• To oversee orders of equipment and printed resources to our partners with various suppliers around the country.

• To maintain meticulous records regarding our growing national Cleanup Hub network of community partners. 

• To collate statistics and create regular reports of programme activity, using our website and new database. 

• To provide help and advice to enquiries that come through our information email inbox. This could include; helping people access their profiles on our website or advising them as to how to get involved in community litter picking activity.

• To use Mail Chimp to send mailers to our partners and followers. 

• Database Management, to take a pro-active role in our upcoming database development project, considering how best to structure, store and export data. Following the launch of the database lead on database development and maintenance, such as an annual data cleanse.

• To assist with setting up, maintaining and updating database information, Community Cleanup Hub registrations, profiles and filing systems, ensuring that data handling complies with GDPR requirements. 

• To assist with staff recruitment and induction processes. 

Chief Executive: leads our strategic direction / reports to the Trustees 

• To organise board meetings; booking diary dates, venues, catering and taking minutes. 

• To attend and take detailed minutes at board meetings and any other meetings required. 

• To process invoices, expense claims and credit card statements. 

• To assist with staff recruitment and induction processes. 

Corporate Partnerships: manages relationships with our corporate partners
