As the Senior Individual Giving Officer, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the successful delivery of this programme. You will work closely with the Individual Giving & Legacies Manager, leading on a variety of campaigns across Individual Giving. Delivering and developing campaigns and appeals across cash, regular giving, payroll giving and legacies, using channels such as digital, direct mail, DRTV and direct dialogue.

Key responsibilities

• With the Individual Giving & Legacies Manager, develop the IG marketing plan, making recommendations to meet strategic goal.
• Deliver the activity plan considering learnings and recommendations, in line with the wider Income and Engagement Strategy.
• Ensure campaigns are delivered on time and to budget across a variety of channels, adhering to brand guidelines.
• Develop creatives for campaigns with internal and agency support to increase response rates and growing income.
• Ensure a test and learn approach to build solid foundations on which to grow the programme.
• Regularly monitor the performance of campaigns and activities and report weekly against agreed KPIs.

To be successful in this Senior Individual Giving Offer role, you will have gained the following skills, knowledge, and experience:

• Working within fundraising in a similar Direct Marketing role, delivering and developing fundraising campaigns and activations in Individual Giving.

The Individual Giving Fundraiser will play a vital role in increasing income from our existing supporters. You will support donor acquisition as well as taking the lead on retention of our supporters across multiple channels including cash appeals, regular giving, lottery and in celebration giving. The role will also support the Head of Income in the delivery of a legacy and major donor program.

You will develop and deliver excellent stewardship programmes that drive retention by deepening audience understanding of the challenges that people affected by cleft face and the impact that their donations make. We are working with Pact, who are seeking an experienced Senior Manager (Major Gifts) with a proven track record of success to manage and grow their portfolio of major donors and legacies, to enable them to make a difference to the lives of those affected by criminal justice.

Pact is a successful national charity that provides life changing and lifesaving care for men, women and young people in custody, those with criminal convictions in the community and their children, family members and carers. 

In this newly created role, the Senior Manager (Major Gifts) will provide strong stewardship of existing relationships of mid value and major donors, support and cultivate interest in Pact’s programmes and unrestricted giving and take responsibility for identifying and developing new major gifts from individuals and family trusts. In addition, you will strengthen and develop the legacy strategy and offer to existing and new individual supporter. 

This is a senior, strategic role within Pact and you will have 

• A proven track record and specialism in either legacy or major donor giving, and the autonomy to raise funds from individuals, including HNWIs and to lead on this area within a charity.
• Experience of researching and cultivating individuals including HNWIs and family trusts to secure financial support.
• Strong interpersonal skills, talented at building relationships and trust, and able to inspire long term commitment.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly convey concepts and inspire a wide range of people through written & verbal channels, with the ability to build a case for support.
• Strong literacy, numeracy and budgeting skills and be capable of writing effective proposals, and reports.  Experience of using Salesforce is desirable but not essential.

The role: Fundraising Manager

We are seeking a Fundraising Manager with a passion for our mission, who will build positive relationships to secure significant income, working together to harness the power of adventure to create lasting change and transform communities for all.

This is a new role, leading our small but growing Fundraising Team, and having a real input into our plans and strategies for the future. Reporting to the Head of Business Development, the successful candidate will oversee all fundraising income generation activity and lead on our Major Donor Giving Programme. About the Role:

This role is home-based with regular travel throughout the region. The Thames Valley Adult Victims Service will provide emotional and practical support to adult victims of any crime. Support will be delivered in an innovative manner primarily through specialist group work provision - alongside online and telephone caseworker support.

As the Operations Manager for the new Thames Valley Adults Victim Service you will be responsible for the implementation, development and the ongoing delivery of a high performing service through excellent operational management and supervision of people and resources.

You will ensure the team delivers individual, tailored support for adult victims of any crime primarily through group and peer support with the option of individual casework support where this is appropriate for the victim.

You will work closely and collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley, Thames Valley Police, criminal justice agencies as well as other statutory agencies and third sector organisations across the Thames Valley.

You will be the nominated deputy for the Area Manager covering Thames Valley and this will include assisting the Area Manager in monthly/quarterly reporting and attending monitoring meetings with the PCC office.

Your will provide direct line management to the Victim Awareness Officer who will play a key role in planning & delivering training and raising awareness of activities. You will support them in the recruitment & development of an active cohort of volunteers performing the roles of Criminal Justice and Engagement Champions.

As part of your role you will ensure victim voices and experiences are listened and responded to in and beyond the criminal justice system.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced operations manager to join our team. We are looking for someone who will help strengthen the foundations of our organisation, as well as help us expand our growing network of partner organisations across the UK. 

As a small charity, the role will require balancing practical tasks with strategic planning and management. Building on what has already been done, you will work directly with the CEO to help build the operational structure of Big Green Heart, and support its day-to-day operations. 

You will also facilitate the national deployment of Big Green Heart workshops across the UK, and will work with the CEO and trustees to implement the strategy needed to upscale the work of Big Green Heart.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will develop and implement operational policies, procedures and systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation.

• You will monitor and evaluate the operational performance of the organisation, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.

• You will manage the operational activity of our Big Green Heart experience days, supporting the CEO in the delivery of them. 

• You will work closely with our partner organisations who are using the Big Green Heart model, ensuring that the high standards and values of our teaching are maintained.

• You will also work with the Big Green Heart team to onboard new partner organisations. You will work with them to understand their needs and secure buy-in. 

• You will collaborate with the trustees, who also contribute to tasks linked with Big Green Heart's development. 

• You will manage the budgeting and financial planning processes, working closely with the Treasurer.

• You will be trained as a Big Green Heart facilitator with an expectation that you may be needed to facilitate a workshop during your time at the organisation.

• You will participate in professional and networking events related to Big Green Heart’s field of intervention.

• You will support staff members, trustees and volunteers, providing guidance and training in the operations of the charity as needed.

NECESSARY REQUIREMENTS

• At least two years experience in operations management, preferably within the charity sector. 

• A self motivated individual, capable of independent working.

• Ability to translate vision into a working practice.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.

• Familiarity with budgeting and financial management processes.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.

• Experience of working in a start-up environment, supporting the operational needs of a fledgling organisation.

Education and Training

• Experience and formal training in a recognised Sales Methodology e.g. MEDDPICC, SPIN, Sandler
• BA Hons (desirable)

Demonstrable Experience and Knowledge

• Substantial proven experience in business development, b2b sales, or a similar role, in the service and/or not for profit sector
• Track record of securing seven-figure contracts.

Rowan Alba works to end homelessness in Edinburgh by providing permanent supported homes and building relationships with individuals in crisis.
