This is a home based role within Scotland, key activity areas are Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen, and travel between these areas will be required.

The Role
Support the Regional Major Gifts Team in delivering the major donor elements of the fundraising strategy to secure c£400k per year.
Manage a portfolio of existing major donors and prospects and ensure a first- class cultivation and stewardship journey.
Attend meetings with existing and new donors, developing bespoke, personalised written communications and proposals, preparing budgets and proposals to accompany approaches.
Be responsible for stewarding existing major donors in Scotland and recruiting new high-net worth supporters, through creative engagement techniques and the development of trusted relationships.
The Candidate

About the role.
As Head of Fundraising and a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you’ll work closely with the CEO to devise the organisation’s fundraising strategy as they enter a positive and ambitious new five-year plan.
There is a very well-established trust and foundation fundraising programme, which you’ll work to continue and expand, building on existing relationships and spotting opportunities to create new partnerships with relevant funders. Since 2013, Arts Emergency has been providing 16-25 year olds in London, Greater Manchester, Merseyside and beyond with a trained mentor working in their field of interest. The Talent Set are delighted to be working with a national Children’s Charity to find their new Philanthropy Manager.
The organisation offers a flexible working environment, with a fully remote working pattern and occasional travel for engagement activities and donor meetings.
This role will play a key part in maximising income for the charity by developing and managing existing relationships and identifying new major donors to secure gifts upwards of £5,000.
Key duties include:
· Raising funds for key projects in line with agreed income targets, making asks at a 4, 5 and 6 figure level.
· Recruiting new philanthropic support into the supporter pipeline whilst managing an engaged pool of existing donors.
· Regularly attending meetings and events with key major donors to maximise income and charity profile.
· Work collaboratively across the charity to research, identify and develop new funding opportunities to achieve strategic objectives.
Experience required:
· Significant experience of managing new and existing high-value fundraising relationships, with a comprehensive understanding of major donor fundraising.
· Track record of securing significant funding for existing and proposed new projects.
· Ability to produce compelling cases for support on social policy issues.
· Excellent influencing and negotiating skills.

Operating throughout the UK, the charity provides support services to everyone affected by stroke, including families and carers. The charity raises awareness of stroke and campaign for better emergency, rehabilitation and support services. We’re looking for an experienced and driven individual giving acquisition expert to join the Growth and Acquisition within Mass Engagement. You will be joining the Stroke Association at an exciting and important moment as they continue to develop, diversify and significantly build our individual donor bases and income.
As Supporter Acquisition Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Acquiring new supporters at scale in order to grow income across our cash, regular giving and lottery programmes
- Testing, validating and optimising propositions across a broad range of products and channels
- Playing a key role in the strategic evolution of the Acquisition programme as the charity continue to develop, diversify and significantly build our individual donor bases and associated income
Ideal skills and experience:
- Multi-year budget development, planning and forecasting
- Line management experience or support of a peer
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Passionate about supporting the Stroke Association
