We have fantastic opportunity available for a Community Fundraiser to join our rewarding and growing team! This is an exciting home-based role which would suit someone looking to build and develop their fundraising experience or broaden their sector experience in a major national charity.
This role will have a strong focus on working with acquiring new support from our corporate and group/association partnerships in Bath & Wiltshire. The successful candidate will be able to deliver first class account management, as well as driving new business income (from prospecting through to pitch development and delivery).
You will join our Regional Engagement team to help deliver the regional budget. Success in your role will enable our colleagues to campaign for change, fund research to find a cure and support people living with dementia today.
Our team have a wealth of experience and skills to support you. In our team, help will always be there and being a team-player is essential. Recruiting, managing and appreciating the value of our supporters and volunteers is essential. You need to inspire and motivate them to develop lifelong support.
Being based in Bath or Wiltshire is not a requirement but occasional travel to/within the patch will be expected. We can offer flexibility on working pattern/days worked.
About you
- Experience in working within a Fundraising sector, particularly corporate acquisition/pipelining or community fundraising would be advantageous.
- Be a self-starter and can work within a fast-paced, creative, and diverse environment.
- Demonstrate your resourceful and inspirational nature, giving our supporters the best possible experience when raising incredible sums.
- Experience in conducting presentations to businesses and various groups (desirable)

Salary: £40,845 per annum rising to £42,996 after 12 months in London. £36,817 per annum rising to £38,968 after 12 months outside of London.
Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week). Job share or substantial part-time applications welcome.

We’re looking for someone with a strategic mindset to join our interdisciplinary team of consultants.
At NCVO we run our consultancy and training services as a social business. We provide cost effective and high-quality support focused on the areas which matter most to charities. Our work generates income and valuable insights to support NCVO in achieving our mission.
Our business is growing, and we’re looking for a passionate and innovative team player to help us provide expert strategy support to clients across England. You’ll need to be a confident facilitator attuned to the needs of the sector, identifying emerging themes and areas of support.
The role focuses on the delivery of consultancy and training. It is responsible for meeting income targets, managing project budgets, and coordinating projects. This is done with oversight and support from senior and lead consultants.
You will:
- develop bids and work with clients independently – gaining input and agreement from other consultants on viability and the decision to bid
- pitch for work
- manage and coordinate projects from end to end, with support from senior and lead consultants
- communicate and influence effectively
- coordinate the work of existing associates and agree fees within an established framework.
You don’t need to have experience working as a consultant before. But we need you to be curious, analytical and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
As well as being motivated by creating change for our clients through consultancy, mentoring and training, you will also need to be energised by hitting targets on utilisation and income. Please see the job description for full details.

Our ideal candidate will have a background within the charity/not for profit sector and experience in handling an investment portfolio. The role is home based with some travel in/around Hampshire and the IOW. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a new challenge and a step up. Our financial information is highly visible to our donors and grantees, so this role is a crucial enabler for the effective delivery of all areas of our work. The role will be overseen by a part time Finance Manager, who will produce management accounts, annual accounts, budgets, forecasts etc. Part time work will be considered for the right candidate.
The Finance Officer/Bookkeeper will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely finance administration, across two databases (currently Sage and Salesforce). This is a vital role within HIWCF, as high quality finance information is fundamental to our role and reputation in the region as a trusted partner for our fundholders and grantees.
Key Tasks
· Adding all payments transactions (grants, invoices, salaries, expenses, HMRC payments etc) to Sage and the bank accounts, ensuring all evidence is correct and payments are correctly authorised
· Adding all donation income to Sage and Salesforce, and working with other team members to ensure they are acknowledged appropriately
· Adding all quarterly investment income to Sage and Salesforce and reconciling across both databases, and to the investment house reports and bank account
· Regular reconciliations between Sage and Salesforce and bank accounts
· Ensure HMRC payments and gift aid claims are undertaken in a timely manner
· Manage banking records
· Monthly reconciliations for Bank account, purchase ledger, Sage, Salesforce, prepayments, accruals, salaries, PAYE, pension etc
· Monthly journals for non-cost items
· Manage pension with NEST and other ad hoc pension providers and manage insurances
· Ad hoc finance related tasks including reporting on returned grants, managing pension payments, insurances etc
· Any other appropriate tasks as directed
