Job description

North Paddington Food Bank (NPFB) seeks to provide food, essentials, advice and support to people and households experiencing crisis and hardship in North Westminster, as well as parts of Kensington and Chelsea and Brent. We want to develop the most effective, accessible and adaptable approaches possible to provide the help that people need in an environment that is welcoming and supportive. 

NPFB is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to lead on the expansion of its volunteering programme. The post holder will work closely with the Centre Manager to ensure a positive and enjoyable experience for our pool of 600+ volunteers, and be responsible for the onboarding and training of new volunteers. They will also be responsible for expanding NPFB’s corporate and Duke of Ediburgh volunteering programmes

The role is fast-paced and varied. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, confident communicating with people from a range of backgrounds, and have a good understanding of the needs and issues facing the diverse community of North Westminster. The foodbank is currently operational Tuesday to Friday, with Monday used as an administrative day.
