Job description

Fundraising Manager  - Northern Care Alliance NHS Group (NCA)

The NCA has developed an ambitious strategy to develop and grow our Charitable income over the next five years. This will involve the establishment and development of a new charity fundraising team (5.8 WTE initially), to be led by the Fundraising Manager.

The NCA brings together over 19,000 staff and a range of hospital and community healthcare services across Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust and Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust under a group arrangement. The NCA covers the local communities of Salford, Oldham, Bury, Rochdale and North Manchester.

This is an exciting time as we look to totally transform our charity’s visibility, including through new dedicated charity branding. The Fundraising Manager will play a crucial role, responsible for managing and implementing the NCA’s fundraising strategy and overseeing all of our fundraising activity. The role involves both line management and hands-on delivery across Individual Giving, Community Fundraising, Corporate and Trust sources.

The team will consist of fundraising, communications and marketing, and administrative staff. The charity’s purpose is to raise funds to enhance and improve the experience of patients and service users across our services. This will include general unrestricted fundraising as well as targeted campaigns focusing on our specialist services.

The post holder will be expected to utilise and leverage our existing key assets, in particular our local community, by delivering a place-based approach to our fundraising development to enhance the Charity’s local appeal.

The post is based at Salford Royal Hospital, but cross site working will be necessary.

Interviews will take place week commencing 9th March 2020

In line with the Trust’s Single Equality Scheme we welcome applications from everyone irrespective of ethnic origin, disability, age, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, nationality, religion, marital status, social back ground or trade union membership. However, as members of ethnicity minority groups and individuals with disabilities are currently under-represented at this level of post, we would encourage applications from members of these groups.  Appointment will be based on merit alone.
