To assist the Donor Support Services Manager in the provision of donation processing and donor care, and support the Fundraising and Community Engagement department in donor care processes. As a department we share a common goal to maintain up-to-date, relevant and meaningful information on all our supporters, to thank them promptly and appropriately for their support, and to steward our donors to encourage long-term engagement with Norwood.
The main focus of this role is to provide excellent donor care and ensure our donors feel valued and part of the wider Norwood community. The postholder will, alongside the line manager, be thanking donations under £1,000 and also support colleagues across the department with their donor care. There is a strong emphasis on database processes and good data practices.
The postholder will also work with colleagues to ensure that all pledges and donations are processed promptly and accurately.
Some of the main responsibilities:
- Ensure the prompt and accurate despatch of donor acknowledgement letters, emails, invoices and receipts, ensuring the appropriate acknowledgement is sent.
- Work with the Donor Support Services Manager, and across the department, to constantly review and streamline database processes relating to donor acknowledgements and donor care, and to assist with producing and maintaining user guides for donor care processes.
- Promptly and accurately process donations alongside the Donor Support Services Assistant, by manual processing or imports, and work closely with the team to suggest and implement database and processes improvements for donation processing.
- Work within the team, and across the department, to ensure that gift aid declarations, marketing consents, relationships, contact details and other information are gathered and accurately recorded, in order to keep our donor database as up-to-date as possible.
