Job description

Background

Welcome to Nova. We are a small diverse charity with a big reach and a novel approach to social change.

Since 1983, we have been offering grassroots support to our local community and pride ourselves on the positive impact our learning programmes have had on people’s lives. But we don’t stop there. Our mission is to challenge and expose structural inequality, because we believe the UK has the potential to grow into the most socially cohesive and inclusive society in the world.

We offer employment advice and adult education including basic maths, English and ICT courses; it’s fun and relaxed, whilst creating real progress. Our Family Programme events have a track-record of getting children inspired entertained and beaming.

Through our Reach Programming, from TEDx Ladbroke Grove to the Human Library, we love bringing unique voices together to inform, inspire and ultimately learn from each other. On our mission to social equality, we believe change can only come from bold dialogue.

Regardless of background or status, we create opportunities for people to learn, to grow and to experience new perspectives.

We are a small, friendly team with a supportive and non-hierarchical culture. We very much enjoy working together and are hugely committed to our work. We are also an inclusive team and are committed to having employees that represent all communities. We welcome applications from people from all identities and backgrounds.
