Job description

The Major Giving Department at the NSPCC has an exciting opportunity for someone to become part of a professional and motivated team generating income from trusts and foundations. The Trusts & Statutory Team are responsible for increasing the number of successful grants awarded to the charity from institutional funders across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, with an annual income target of more than £6million.

As a Philanthropy Executive, you will work closely with the Senior Philanthropy Manager (Trusts) to secure funding for the charity. In order to succeed, you will effectively collaborate with a broad range colleagues and external stakeholders to ensure our funders are fully informed and engaged in the work of the NSPCC.

Despite the ongoing challenges of the pandemic and lockdown(s), the Trusts & Statutory Team is performing extremely well and in a strong position at the end of the financial year. With the ongoing support of your colleagues, this is an ideal opportunity for a new fundraiser to make a significant contribution to the fight for every childhood.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills (with both colleagues and funders)
  • The ability to produce compelling written material of the highest quality
  • Strong numeracy skills and the ability to record, analyse and present information clearly
  • Initiative, creativity and enthusiasm
