Are you an experienced partnerships manager with an interest in media & entertainment who is motivated to win new partnerships and help protect children?

A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented relationship manager to join the Volunteer Partnerships team to lead the NSPCC’s Childline Board to help secure long-term fundraising and strategic partnerships. The Childline Board consists of senior stakeholders from the media and entertainment industry. This role is also responsible for leading on developing a brand new Volunteer Board in the property sector. Knowledge of the media and property industries would be desirable.

The Volunteer Partnerships team work with well connected, influential individuals who sit on one of our three fundraising boards, to develop long-term partnerships with the NSPCC and raise significant funds. Income is generated through corporate partnerships, beneficiary activity, major gifts and events. The team has a joint annual net income target of approx. £1.5-2 million. The volunteer board members are truly committed to the work of the NSPCC and share our belief that they are part of a collective movement to fight for every childhood and influence societal change.

Since its inception in 2010, the Childline Board has created a legacy within the media industry  and has raised over £14million for the Childline service. Some successes of the board include securing support from the Financial Times, Trinity Mirror, ITV and Exterion, amongst many more.

As Senior Partnerships Manager, your workload is very wide ranging; you will be directly responsible for managing a portfolio of senior supporters and their networks in the media industry, identifying and securing new fundraising partnerships. With the support of a Fundraiser, who you will line manage, you will be required to work collaboratively across different teams and divisions across the NSPCC, to win new partnerships and maintain success.

Are you an excellent relationship manager, who can communicate effectively with senior level stakeholders both internally and externally? Are you proactive, with great attention to detail whilst being able to deal with competing demands in a fast-paced environment? We are looking for a creative individual with exceptional business development skills; an ability to identify, pitch, and secure new partnerships whilst seeking internal buy-in. Experience of successfully generating new high value opportunities is essential.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, a strategic thinker, target driven and have a track record of managing large budgets and achieving financial objectives. They will understand and be able to connect with a high net worth audience.  Most importantly, they will be commercially minded and a good communicator who can manage competing priorities.
