We are searching for a self-sufficient, proactive and creative person with experience in communications, PR and marketing to oversee our internal and external communications.
NWR, or the National Women’s Register, exists to provide mentally stimulating meetings, activities and events to women across the country. We turned 60 years old in 2020 and are as necessary and relevant today as we have ever been to combat loneliness and isolation of women. A recent survey showed that NWR has provided a lifeline to 94% of our members during the pandemic.
The Communications Co-ordinator (CC) is responsible for ensuring that our communications are effective across all channels. The post holder will be part of a small team of staff and trustees who work together to continue to grow an organisation that members value and that is attractive for women to join.
We have just launched a new website and have developed new promotional videos and photography. We reacted swiftly to the pandemic with online offerings for our members and we are lucky to have a loyal membership. The CC role will be key to taking advantage of the opportunities which we are presented with in this busy time as well as mitigating the risks.
The Communications Co-ordinator will ensure that we are successfully engaging with our people from the very beginning and throughout their membership. You will involve our members as much as possible in the running of the organisation and help to ensure that our members feel that they get value from NWR. Communication channels and the responsibility for developing and growing our online presence via our website and social media content is also integral to this role and includes engaging with our members in a digital format.
You can expect to be fully involved in all aspects of our activities and quickly become a familiar name and face with our members and part of our ongoing development of NWR with the aim of it being an organisation that women value and wish to join.
