Oasis Hub North Bristol works to build social capital across the area we work, providing integrated, high quality services that benefit the whole person and the whole community. Our growing success means we are looking to appoint a Community Engagement Worker to work with the North Bristol hub team and community. 

Working alongside the Hub Leader the Community Engagement Worker will help support the planning, coordination and delivery of community empowerment programmes, and advice and support sessions; run coffee mornings and other community activities (including a therapy dog programme!). 

The success of this role is dependent on creating meaningful relationships with the local community as well as being a valuable support to the hub team.  This is a role to suit a highly motivated self-starter, so the opportunity is there for the right person to take ownership of the project and thrive, with full support and guidance from the Hub Team.

To be successful in this role, applicants will require:

  • Education up to degree level or proven experience in community project support.
  • Excellent maths and communication skills and well as feeling comfortable presenting to groups.
  • A flexible approach to changing priorities and work hours.
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and work unsupervised.
  • Able to work with people from a broad cross-section of backgrounds.
