Job description

Are you an experienced administrator, who enjoys working as part of a small team, and serving others?  We have the perfect opportunity for you to join our team, to provide administrative support to the Board of Trustees and Senior Leadership Team. 


As a successful applicant, you will provide administration and communication support via telephone, email and in person.  Your responsibilities will include communicating on behalf of team members; diary management; board meeting administration and coordinating travel arrangements, where required. 


To excel, you will need to be confident in building and maintaining relationships with those at all levels and will have a degree of flexibility.  Where required you may be asked to carry out project work or research as agreed with the Chief Executive Officer or Chief Operating Officer.  


You will be joining a registered Christian charity based in Oxford, with a collaborative working culture and welcoming atmosphere. We are a small, dynamic team going through an exciting period of transformation and development.


The key skills, qualifications, and competencies that we are looking for are outlined below (a more detailed list is included in the job description):


  • Extensive and proven experience within an administrative role supporting senior staff including diary management, coordinating meetings, and arranging logistics.
  • Significant experience in an office environment.
  • High standard of literacy and written communication, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Experience of using standard office IT systems (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • A team player with the ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision, both independently and as part of a small team.
  • Able to use a proactive, problem-solving approach to resolving issues where they arise.
  • Highest levels of discretion, integrity and honesty.
  • An active Christian that also identifies with the Charity’s statement of faith and whose conduct is in line with the complete authority of the Word of God.
