One (Housing and Support) CIC are a specialist provider of intensive housing management to vulnerable groups of people. As a newly formed not-for-profit community interest company we work with a variety of people who need help to overcome barriers in their lives. We work in partnership with people to provide high-quality accommodation and support and help them to learn the key skills needed to live independently and play an active role in their community, giving them access to a better future.

About the role

The role itself is highly autonomous and strategic and is a vital part of the senior leadership team which has impressive growth plans UK wide.
Reporting to the Chief Executive and working closely with the Directors, you will implement and drive initiatives to meet the objectives and goals of One CIC; and will proactively drive continuous service improvement plans to meet challenging targets and achieve the best value for the customers, their team and the future of the organisation.
As a leader you will manage the operation, which will include talent attraction, development, retention and performance of several individuals, such as: Housing Manager, Housing Support Officers and the wider support team.
As the safety of people is paramount, you will be accountable for managing risk and ensuring the organisation is compliant with current and ever-changing housing laws and recommendations.
You will manage seamless relationships with many internal and external stakeholders, inclusive of local housing teams, commissioners and partners. Nurturing these relationships and enabling them to identify and develop continued and future growth opportunities across the Yorkshire and North East Region
Able to demonstrate extensive experience of strategically leading an operational service where you have implemented successful policies, procedures and continuous improvement initiatives, ideally within the housing or homeless sector or a similar not-for profit organisation.
You will be a commercially astute manager with proven experience of developing business opportunities and have a personal drive and ambition to meet One CIC's plans for growth and development.
With a proven passion for delivering excellent customer service and a genuine desire to help tenants, you will have first class communications skills and be able to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
By adopting a collaborative and supportive management style, you will be able to lead, influence and mentor with a strong emphasis on employee engagement and a personal commitment to tenant/customer involvement.
You will have an excellent track record in developing and overseeing outstanding support for people facing homelessness (or a related areas) such as supporting people to move on to their own accommodation, gain independence and/or reintegrate them back into a community setting.
