One (Housing and Support) CIC are a specialist provider of intensive housing management to vulnerable groups of people. As a newly formed not-for-profit community interest company we work with a variety of people who need help to overcome barriers in their lives. We work in partnership with people to provide high-quality accommodation and support and help them to learn the key skills needed to live independently and play an active role in their community, giving them access to a better future.

The role itself is integral to establishing community hubs across West Yorkshire promoting independence and empowering sustainment of tenancies.

Reporting to the Head of Services you will also work closely with external professionals and other departments in the organisation to maximise tenants' chances of success.

You will be working with an allocation of tenants providing a robust intensive housing management service, which will require constant review and regular face to face contact.

Leading the assessment of incoming referrals, you will respond appropriately and gather the correct information from the outset, including valuable details for other professional sources.

You will create a meticulous support plan with each individual detailing elements of support required for the tenancy to be maintained, conducting a risk assessment to highlight any risks to themselves or the workforce at the same time.

Taking responsibility for regular Health and Safety checks, reporting any compliance related matters or maintenance issues.

About you

Able to demonstrate experience working with complex and challenging individuals in housing organisations with the necessary skills and abilities to complete assessments after initial referral, support plans, risk assessments and acceptable behaviour contracts.

You will have a confident approach with exceptional verbal communication and negotiation skills allowing you to navigate systems for effective recording and reporting.

Working with a 'can do' attitude which allows you to prioritise a busy and ever-changing workload.

Demonstrate a commitment to working in a way which shows Respect, Teamwork, Empathy and Integrity while welcoming training and personal development.

You will utilise your working knowledge of stakeholder agencies which may offer support and understanding of benefit entitlements.
