Job description

Chair, Board of Trustees

One Loud Voice’s mission is to mobilise and bring together the many groups tackling the continuing barriers for women in the workforce.  We exist to amplify the voices advocating for gender parity in the UK workplace.  Communication, collaboration and the collective advantage drive our strategy to make a difference

One Loud Voice now seeks its next Board Chair, who will provide leadership to the Board of Trustees and the Management Committee in shaping our transition from a start-up non-profit with entrepreneurial spirit into a charity that is the voice that drives the future of gender parity in the UK workplace.

Our next Chair will be an ambitious leader who brings experience, knowledge and networks to the organization, as well as a passion for gender equality.  Extensive experience on charity boards is vital, and previous experience as a Chair is ideal – but candidates with relevant governance, executive or board leadership positions (non-profit, public or private sector) will also be considered.

This is a non-remunerated position and requires approx 10 board meetings (via video conference and one meeting quarterly in London, when feasible and safe), meetings with CEO as required, plus participation in conferences and events (mostly outside working hours), as required.

Providing equal opportunities for all is core to our belief system and we actively encourage applications from a broad range of backgrounds and experiences.

We ask that only qualified and serious candidates inquire about this role.  Please submit a cover letter and CV.  Interviews will be conducted via Zoom. Deadline for submission is 30 August 2020.
