2020, the start of a new decade in which we want to do more and better, together – doubling our impact by 2025.
To achieve this we are investing in creating an exciting and new Fundraising and Donor Engagement team to provide stewardship to an ambitious Business Development strategy.
We are looking for two inspirational, energetic and committed individuals to pioneer and take us forward on this exciting journey. The fundraising and donor engagement function will be broad, interfacing with all One YMCA’s services across family support, housing, gyms, youth, community hubs and nurseries.
We envisage that no one person will have the full breadth of experience we are asking for in the attached job description but we do ask our people to have a desire to learn and teach others what you know. We are looking for people with an excellent track record in fundraising strategies including;
Donor relations and engagement (communities, individuals and groups),
Bid writing for funds from grant making trusts,
Corporate partnerships and sponsorship,
Individual giving and event fundraising,
Cause-related funding appeals/campaigns
Direct marketing and
Fundraising through storytelling
The final areas of responsibility will be shared depending on the skills and expertise of successful applicants. You will have the opportunity to evolve as an individual and develop your skills into new areas of fundraising and donor engagement as we progress and establish the service.
You will receive full support in achieving your own, and our, ambitions for this role from an inspirational and visionary executive and senior management team. We are a Charity with a deep-rooted desire to succeed in doubling our impact and we are not afraid to take risks along the way to meet the unprecedented demands on our service users. If you want to be a part of our exciting mission, or find out further information about the role, get in touch today!
To apply for this exciting opportunity, please send us your CV clearly headlining your fundraising achievements, and a letter of application no longer than 2 sides of A4 addressing the essential and desirable criteria in the person specification.
