We are currently looking for a full-time fixed term Operations Manager (Maternity Cover) to join our team. You can be based anywhere in the UK or internationally to apply for this role.
The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award is a non-formal education and learning framework operating in more than 130 countries and territories around the world, through which young people’s achievements outside of academia are recognised and celebrated.
We at The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation are the engine that drives and supports the Award’s growth, access, and impact across the globe.
The Award helps to inspire millions of young people. And it’s not limited by the boundaries of one programme or place. There are more than 1 million young people currently completing their own unique programme, via hundreds of thousands of youth-focused partners and operators, including schools, youth organisations, examination boards and youth offender institutions.
The role of the Operations Manager is to support the delivery and growth of the Award through provision of guidance and support to our Operators – a network of local and national organisations around the world, licensed directly by the Foundation to deliver the Award. A significant proportion of the role will entail new business development by identifying new partners with which we can work.
You will have previous experience of providing strategic support in a volunteer NGO environment, along with being able to build and maintain excellent client relationships. This role will require you to communicate and network effectively at operational and Board level and across a wide variety of cultures. You will be focused on results and targets, and have experience of managing youth programmes and project management.
Please also view the attached Job Description for further details on the role. We currently operate a hybrid working scheme at our London office, allowing flexibility with where you work but you may be required to come in from time to time if based locally.
The closing date for applications is the 3rd November 2021. Interviews will take place shortly after the closing date and we are looking for the successful candidate to start as soon as possible.
To apply for this role, please ensure that you submit a cover letter (which should clearly show how you meet the requirements in the Job Description) and a CV. Your application will not be considered if you do not submit both documents.
