This is a key role in Scope’s Financial Planning and Analysis Team working closely with the Retail Team to act as their finance business partner, understanding the detailed retailed strategy and results and providing financial information for planning and decision making. The role also includes overall responsibility for the production of the whole company management accounts, therefore an understanding of all departments and collaboration with other finance managers is also needed.
Permanent, 35 hours per week
Location: Here East Press Centre, 14 East Bay Lane, London, E15 2GW with working from home most of the time.
The role
You will:
- Support senior management through a deep knowledge of their operational activities, detailed cost structures and income streams. Drive the production and monitoring of budgets, forecasts and actual results and providing constructive challenge and assistance to teams.
- Take responsibility for production of detailed, accurate and timely management information is essential.
- Lead continuous improvements in the content and efficiency of reporting.
- Work closely with the wider finance team to develop and maintain pricing and costing tools, model the financial implications of projects, review investment proposals and monitor their return on investment.

About you
You will:
- Have experience of accounting and reporting with the ability to analyse and present data to financial and non-financial colleagues in various formats that are user friendly and accessible.
- Have experience within the retail sector
- Hold a professional accountancy qualification or demonstrating proven experience.
- Have experience of proactive stakeholder management and ability to communicate and collaborate with various teams across Scope is essential. Excellent teamwork and commitment to the team objectives and internal customer service.
- Have experience of charitable retail activities and their financial reporting is helpful.
- Be flexible, the role is suited to someone who enjoys the challenge of implementing change.
- Be accountable for the production of the management accounts accurately and on time. This requires management of a small team and collaboration with other teams to obtain all information needed.

Growing Hope seeks a highly-motivated and experienced Director of Operations who is passionate about our mission. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the charity’s essential operations.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead and develop our finance, HR, IT, and governance functions. This will provide the backbone for Growing Hope to continue making a tangible difference in the world and ensure the charity’s long-term sustainability and growth.
This role will report to the CEO of the charity and will work closely as part of the Senior Leadership team. The Operations Director will have oversight of HR, IT, Operations, Finance and Governance within the charity. This will involve line management of the Finance Officer and Operations Officer in the team. As the charity grows we want to ensure that we have strong governance, processes and financial reporting across Growing Hope and the local charities. As a small charity, the role will require balancing practical tasks with strategic planning and management. The role will be based in King’s Cross (2 days office based) with occasional events outside of the office.
