About

The post-holder will provide effective professional guidance, advice, signposting and sensitive support to residents who are experiencing welfare difficulties of a non-academic nature affecting their ability to learn and maintain a health daily lifestyle.

The role will support individual residents, working in partnership with other departments and colleagues to establish reasonable and effective methods of support or adjustments for residents in situations of difficulty or with challenging circumstances.

Working alongside other department managers, the Resident Welfare Officer will signpost and recommend both internal and external specialist services and treatment providers where necessary. Where appropriate, the Resident Welfare Officer will work directly with residents to limit the impact a problem could have on a residents wellbeing, undertaking individual case work. This role does not directly itself provide specialist practitioner support or clinically qualified treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide guidance, advice, support and signposting to residents, responding to and independently resolving a range of welfare queries and issues, within agreed boundaries.
• Provide a non-judgemental, effective and respected service to residents, some of whom may be experiencing challenging situations and require specific advice and support.
• Assess the complexity and risk involved in individual resident cases, referring to the COO or other department managers.
• Provide appropriate short-term support in the event of a resident reporting a serious welfare incident, violence, a hate crime and/or risk of radicalisation.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key contacts across other professional services, as well as external bodies, support groups and professional services, to support own work, including individual resident casework and organised activities
• Monitor Chapel and classroom attendance and where necessary identify and address areas of concern. Oversee the pastoral care, delivered by Mattersey staff, and make any necessary responses to identified areas of concern.
• Promote support services to Mattersey Hall staff to raise awareness of potentially vulnerable residents and encourage and support staff in referral techniques.Collaborate with colleagues to solve problems outside own area, such as developing solutions to welfare related issues that extend across other Green Pastures partnerships.
• Ensue that accurate records, letters and documentation for individual resident are kept.onitor relevant information data and liaise with academic and professional services colleagues to proactively identify and engage those students who appear to be at risk of disengaging with and/or failing in their activities at Mattersey Hall.
• Contribute to proposed changes in procedures, plans, priorities and office systems to improve operational efficiency and quality of the Residents Welfare.
• Work with colleagues to develop, improve and manage processes that identify and support vulnerable students.

About the role

This role will provide financial and operational leadership and management for CCLC particularly focussed on the Legal Practice Unit and the Migrant Children’s Project but with support for the Child Law Advice Service and Coram International where required. Managing a small finance team, the role will hold primary responsibility for core financial functions within CCLC including legal aid billing and management and tracking of grant and other charitable funding. Through systematic and efficient financial management, the post holder will play a pivotal role in CCLC’s financial sustainability. The role will act as a key point of contact with Coram’s central finance team and a range of internal and external stakeholders on financial matters.

The role will also oversee the smooth running of the London and Colchester offices through line management of operations and administrative staff.

The role would suit a high organised and efficient business support professional with experience of financial management within the legal or charity sector. In particular, candidates with experience of legal billing and more specifically, civil legal aid billing, would be welcomed.

This is a largely office-based role in order to fully provide support to the finance and operations team. However, some remote / hybrid working may be possible depending the experience of the candidate after the initial settling in period (to be negotiated with the successful candidate).The finance team are split between the London and Colchester offices and the post holder should expect some travel to both locations. The large majority of the legal and policy team are based in London and as such regular (at least twice weekly) presence in our London office will be expected. However, on other days the candidate could be based in the London or Colchester office.

As Project Manager of the NPDA, you will lead the development and delivery of the audit including the overall audit methodology and production of periodic reports, following project, risk and budgetary management principles of each deliverable through to completion. 

Reporting to the Head of Audits, you will drive forward the incremental improvements of delivery of care to children and young people with diabetes by leading the development of quality improvement and patient engagement activities, whilst also leading the development and delivery of systems for public reporting of audit key performance data in the public domain. You will also ensure that the audit findings are disseminated widely and effectively and will take responsibility for delivering presentations on the audit findings to commissioners and funders, as well as clinical and patient stakeholders.

In addition, you will assess the audit’s impact, viability, scalability and legacy potential and assist in identifying the potential for future funding and development of tender applications. Ensuring audit contracts and supplier contracts are appropriately tendered, drafted, agreed, monitored and managed, you will also take the lead on the preparation for contract review meetings with commissioners, providing project progress and financial reports as required.

Degree qualified or with equivalent experience within a healthcare or research discipline, you should have proven experience of working in health-related audit or research in a university or NHS setting (or other relevant organisation) and be capable of producing high quality written reports, documentation and promotional information suitable for a range of audiences. 

With outstanding contract management and negotiating skills and a recent and successful track record in a management role, you should also have line management experience and be able to take personal responsibility for your projects, whilst delegating, managing and assuring the work of others.

Your demonstrable knowledge of statistical concepts and data cleaning, processing and management, your high level of numeracy and your ability to interpret the interrogation of large, complex datasets will ensure you are able to deliver multiple objectives within short time frames to high standards and to meet multiple deadlines.

Experience of developing and delivering quality improvement and patient engagement activities along with experience of working on the development of an application programming interface (API) to allow software applications talk to each other for the purpose of secure data exchange, would be desirable.

Our client is recruiting for Support Workers for across their Hackney services (1 of which is a women only service). 

Their services (one being a specific women only service) provide accommodation and additional emergency bed spaces to people with a Hackney connection, who are at risk of homelessness or rough sleeping, and also have additional support needs which include; substance use, mental health or longer term complex needs.

Their hostels offer a range of services to clients at different stages in the process of change and works closely with an adjacent health and advice centre operated by partner agencies. Operationally, the service focuses on promoting recovery, providing assessment, support and resettlement services within a framework of active engagement and person-centred planning. The project is committed to supporting continued client participation in all aspects of its work.

Our close partner is providing financial services guidance to a number of large development agencies & institutions around the world proving grants to NGOs. The International Development team works closely with these global clients – such as UNICEF, The World Bank and the Gates Foundation ensuring their funds are managed approrpiately maximising the effectiveness of crucial development projects. 

The Project Coordinator has to assist in providing project coordination for the full life cycle of any assignment offered to our clients; from the proposal process, contract management with the client, assignment planning, through to assisting with the report writing, and ultimately billing the client.

Contract Responsibilities

·Assist with proposal and tender submission, including preparing project budgets and schedules, liaising with prospective staff and ensuring all proposals are submitted within the respective deadlines

·Ensure that contracts are as per the issued proposals, that all terms agreed are in the organisations’ best interests and support the Managers/Partners in any contract administration required

·Plan the fieldwork of the project, including agreeing dates with the beneficiary, liaising with internal and external staff to ensure they can perform the required service on the agreed dates and that all parties have the necessary information to ensure the project fieldwork runs smoothly

·Draw up contracts between our organisation and any subcontracted firm

·Monitor and track project progress and on our ‘Control Schedule’ to ensure all stakeholders are kept up to date with any project developments and that deadlines are met

·Act as the point of contact for all stakeholders (including the client, the beneficiary, internal/external teams and management)

·Assist the manager in finalising of reports & deliver final product to client
