Over the Wall is a fun, forward-thinking and creative children's charity that has been on a steep growth trajectory for the past decade with service delivery tripling and income quadrupling over that period. Unfortunately, COVID 19 has pulled that in somewhat but we've weathered the storm and have new funding in place and exciting new plans for the next 5 years.
We currently have a vacancy for a Community and Events Fundraising Officer to join our growing fundraising team and help establish, maintain and grow our income from Community and Events.
In this exciting new role, you will use your drive, enthusiasm and excellent people skills to acquire and manage individual fundraisers and fundraising groups by building excellent relationships, developing effective supporter journeys and through exploring and implementing new opportunities such as the development of virtual fundraising events.
We are looking for a results-driven, proactive individual with at least one year’s proven experience of delivering income growth in an event or community fundraising setting. The successful candidate will have excellent project management skills and be comfortable working autonomously alongside a collaborative and supportive team.
This post offers an excellent opportunity for personal and professional development and sits within an organisation that believes in fun and cares deeply for children with serious illness and their families. There is also scope to contribute to our wider fundraising strategy, as we grow and develop as a team.
Although based in Havant, we are all currently working from home and there is the opportunity for homeworking and flexibility around working hours when we’re back in the office.
The job description and person specification are attached, and you can find out lots more about the charity by visiting our website. Starting salary is dependent upon knowledge/experience.
We look forward to hearing from you!
Closing date for applications is by midnight on 1st March, shortlisting will take place immediately thereafter and we'll plan for interviews the week commencing Monday 8th March.
Please note that applications received after the closing deadline will not be considered.
We are committed to Safer Recruitment. We REQUIRE a minimum of two professional and independent reference checks, with one of the reference checks being the last or current employer.
Over the Wall is an Equal Opportunities Employer. We recognise the importance of representation when it comes to our wider team, both employees at all levels of OTW and our board members. We want to ensure that our campers, volunteers, employees and board members recognise that being part of the OTW community means being part of something where the difference you bring is celebrated.
