Individual Giving & Legacy Manager

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Obtain a clear understanding of OTW case for support, and be able to promote it in a compelling way to key target audiences
  • Develop and manage an integrated individual giving programme for donor acquisition retention and upgrade across all multimedia platforms including email, text, social media, website, direct marketing, and events
  • Develop innovative packages and products for prospect and donor acquisition and engagement
  • Develop and launch innovative digital appeals and campaigns
  • Develop and market a legacy programme
  • Collate donors’ feedback to improve OTW insight, offerings and relationships
  • Track, manage, and report on all individual giving activities, platforms, conversion rates, etc.  to enable full analysis
  • Develop a ‘donor journey roadmap’ aiming to build relationships with existing and potential supporters, forging new relationships and ensuring donors and legacy pledgers feel valued and connected to the charity in meaningful ways
  • Monitor, explore and highlight the potential impact of existing and emerging technology and new guidelines on fundraising and supporter engagement
  • Ensure all relevant fundraising information and activities are registered and kept up to date in Raisers Edge
  • Ensure all areas of work are compliant with GDPR and fundraising best practice

Person Specifications 

  • Educated to degree level (D)
  • Affinity with the cause and mission of the charity (E)
  • At least 2 years’ experience in business-to-customer Direct Marketing or Individual Giving, ideally in the charity sector (E)
  • Knowledge of legacy marketing (D)
  • Proven ability to grow individual giving and legacy income year on year (E)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (E)
  • Ability to work collaboratively with members of the fundraising, marketing and communications, and operations teams (E)
  • Excellent attention to detail, editing and proofing skills (E)
  • Working knowledge of Raiser Edge (D)
