Job Description

We are currently seeking a reliable, motivated and focused Office Administrator to join our passionate and enthusiastic team in Haddenham in Buckinghamshire. The main purpose of the role will focus on general administration and office support. This will be a varied position with plenty of ad-hoc duties, as well as new and exciting opportunities to grow in this role and within your career.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Meeting and greeting visitors

• Sorting and distributing incoming post

• Answering and screening incoming phone calls

• Typing correspondence, letters and meeting notes

• Scheduling meetings and travel arrangements for a senior member of the charity

• Support in the collation and preparation of quarterly Board papers

• Processing invoices and dealing with invoice queries

• Downloading and checking client information to be imported into customer database

Required Skills

Desirable Required Skills - Role Specific

• Good communication skills – both written and verbal

• Ability to multi-task and prioritise workloads

• Good knowledge of MS office packages and Gmail

• Good organisational ability and attention to detail

• Excellent telephone manner

• Ability to work in a consistent, methodical and systematic manner using excel spreadsheets.

Knowledge

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office packages; Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiar with and comfortable using Gmail

Experience

Ideally (but not essential) 1-2 years’ experience working in an office setting.

Desirable Qualifications

  • GSCE English at least grade C/4 or above (B/6 or above preferred)
  • GCSE Maths at least grade C/4 or above

  • Enthusiasm and willingness to learn new things
  • Enjoys working as part of a small but growing team
  • Compassionate, as dealing with sensitive issues and queries from customers
