Media and Communications Officer (CAP0379)

Are you an exceptional media and communications professional with experience in media relations, public relations or journalism?

Do you have knowledge of the UK media landscape and a strong track record of working to generate coverage within the Scottish media environment?

Do you have a strong track record of delivering engaging public-facing communications?

If so, we would like to hear from you to be part of our UK Programme team based in our Glasgow office.

The role:

As media and communications officer, you will be responsible for leading on Oxfam’s media and communications output in Scotland. In this multi-faceted and challenging role, you will work to generate, develop and place engaging media stories which assist Oxfam to meet its domestic and international campaigning, fundraising and brand awareness objectives.

This is a role where no two days are the same. You will deliver effective and engaging supporter communications, including through email, website, social media and video as well as build, maintain and protect Oxfam’s reputation.

What we are looking for:

As media & communication officer you will have an excellent track record of delivering engaging public-facing communications for a range of audiences.   

You will be able to demonstrate your ability to plan and manage your own workload effectively, juggle competing and fast-paced priorities; work to deadlines; and plan and manage the delivery and evaluation of communications projects.
