Cowley, Oxfordshire
£20,000 - £21,500 per year (starting salary range)
Permanent, Full-time
Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious candidate to join Oxford Hospitals Charity and make a real difference to patients and staff of the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Oxford Hospitals Charity helps to transform care in our four hospitals, funding the best medical equipment, research, training and facilities for patients and staff. The hospitals that we support are the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford Children's Hospital, Churchill Hospital, Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre and Horton General Hospital.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be an excellent communicator who can play a pivotal role in working proactively across the clinical areas and departments of the four hospitals to identify potential funding needs.  This will involve being ‘out and about’ in our hospitals meeting with staff to track the implementation of projects and evaluating their impact.

Your energy and enthusiasm, along with your excellent planning and communication skills will enable you to coordinate a wide range of applications and projects as part of the Programme.

You will work closely with the wider charity team to develop and enhance new systems and processes to ensure all aspects of the programme are captured.  Whilst experience in a Charity or NHS environment is desirable, we are open to candidates from other backgrounds with transferrable skills and an excellent record of relationship management.

Your experience in managing records and information will mean you are fully competent in the use of Microsoft packages and databases to support the development of the function.

We are looking for candidates who will be proud to represent Oxford Hospitals Charity, demonstrating a clear commitment to and passion for excellence in NHS hospitals.

At Oxford Hospitals Charity the needs of patients and staff are at the heart of everything we do and we’re committed to looking after our wonderful hospital staff as well as we look after our hospitals. In addition to joining a friendly, collaborative and ambitious team you will also enjoy the following benefits: 27 days holiday plus all English Bank Holidays (pro-rata’d for part-time staff), a contributory pension scheme, free parking onsite, flexible working and with a starting salary: £20k - £21.5k per annum pro rata (dependent on experience).

If this sounds like the opportunity for you, please apply now. Closing date for applications is Monday 17th May.

Application Instructions

Please submit a recent CV and covering letter on why you feel you are the best candidate for the position, and why you would like to join the Oxford Hospitals Charity team.
