Advice Service Manager needed

Position: Advice Service Manager, Citizens Advice Oxfordshire South and Vale

Location: Thame, Oxfordshire

Closing date:  15/11/2019 – Interviews to be held on 27/11/2019

Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 per annum depending on experience (pro rata)

Hours per week: 18-21 hours per week

Type of contract: Permanent

Citizens Advice advised over 11,000 people last year. Our 160 trained volunteers and 10 FTE staff work from 5 main advice centres.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic manager with a preferred advice background to become the Advice Service Manager (ASM) for our office in Thame,Oxfordshire.

This would be a good opportunity for an advice supervisor or adviser looking for a fresh challenge or wishing to step up into a senior management role. The successful candidate will have:

  • A commitment to providing quality advice to the public
  • A flexible and effective management style
  • An ability to manage a complex operational service

Applicants will ideally have worked as trained advisers and have advice skills. A successful candidate without advice experience would need to acquire the skills to meet Citizens Advice requirements.
