Position: Data Protection Advisor
Location: Home based - with travel across England and Wales
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Part Time, 22.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (occasional weekend & evening work may be required)
Salary: £21,000.00 per annum pro rata (FTE £35,000.00 per annum)

About the Role:

The Data Protection Adviser will be responsible for supporting organisational compliance with information security and data protection legislation and standards. The post holder will develop, influence, manage, and promote a positive information security culture across Pact group to ensure our teams are equipped to receive, process and store information in a way that is fully compliant with regulatory and contractual requirements.

About You:

• Sufficient experience of working in a data protection adviser role to establish this new standalone post
• Proven leadership experience in an information/data management setting
• Experience in recognising and advising upon the potential impacts of GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 on existing and emerging services in a comparable organisation
• Experience in engaging with stakeholders and staff to resolve problems and ensure effective and efficient delivery of services

This role is Home-based (unless there is a suitable Pact premise nearby) located within easy access of major rail and road networks, as this is a national role which will involve travel across England and Wales to visit Pact’s services in prison and the community, estimated at 1-2 trips per month.
