The contract will initially be for two months but has the opportunity to be extended.
The role will involve rent accounting, analysis of data and balance sheet reconciliations.
The client is a well established housing association.
The key responsibilities will be to;
- Prepare and post weekly, monthly and ad-hoc accounting journals ensuring each journal is accurate, complete and compliant with standard accounting practices and internal regulations.
- Assist in the accounting processes for complex/technical areas of the organisation, for example fixed assets, component accounting, payroll, rent setting, service charges, commercial property and charity shop accounting.
- Prepare accurate and timely audit schedules and assist in the preparation of statutory accounting notes for the Group and its subsidiaries.
The successful Finance Assistant will come from a housing or property back ground and will be familiar with rent accounting.
You will be a team player, with a pro active approach and you will be highly organised.
You will have a proven record of preparing and posting journals, reconciliations and statutory accounting notes.
The contract has the possibility of being extended.
