An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a growing team as PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide expands in the West Midlands. PAPYRUS is the national charity dedicated to the prevention of young suicide. Suicide is the biggest killer of young people – male and female – under 35 in the UK. We exist to reduce the number of young people who take their own lives.
Our Community Development Officer will deliver PAPYRUS’ suite of training and awareness raising courses and help to identify and engage with local communities, volunteers and key partners across the West Midlands. The post will be based in Birmingham but with travel across the region expected. The role will include engaging organisations and those who work with young people. DESIGNATION: Community Development Officer (West Midlands)
HOURS: Full time (36 hours per week) or part time hours also considered
SALARY: NJC Scale 18-22 (£24,313 - £26,317) & 5% employer pension contribution
LOCATION: West Midlands office with regular travel across UK as required
RESPONSIBLE TO: Regional Manager (West Midlands)
