We are seeking a talented and passionate individual with experience of policy and parliamentary influencing to help us to drive change for the youngest children and their families.
The First 1001 Days Movement is a new campaigning alliance of over 160 organisations that work together to inspire, support and challenge national and local decision makers to value and invest in babies’ emotional wellbeing and development in the first 1001 days.
As a result of funding from the AIM Foundation, we are delighted to be able to recruit to this new position to help us to develop the Movement, strengthen our relationships with members and increase our influence. This role involves:
ensuring that the Movement achieves maximum impact by actively engaging our membership, and
identifying and working with parliamentary champions to influence policy and hold the Government to account.
We need a people-person with creativity and drive, supported by solid administrative skills, to work with us to make a difference.
This position is within the Parent-Infant Foundation, which provides the secretariat to the Movement. It will involve working with partners across the maternity, mental health, family and early years sectors. We are happy to consider secondments from member organisations.
This is the perfect role for an organised and enthusiastic individual with an interest in current affairs, a commitment to giving children the best start in life, and a belief in the value of collaboration. You will have the opportunity to develop and deliver influencing strategies and to build relationships with parliamentarians and leading organisations in the sector.
This is a part-time and flexible role, which will be home-based but with regular travel to London in non-COVID times.
