We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Operations & Programmes Support Officer to play a vital role in the smooth running of our small charity strengthening London’s communities. This is a varied, hands-on role supporting both programme delivery and day-to-day operations. You will bring strong attention to detail, a conscientious approach, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Working closely with colleagues across the team, you will be a clear communicator who enjoys collaborating and contributing to a positive working environment.
The Operations and Programme Support role will be instrumental in supporting our small team to continue to grow our services to support charitable organisations across London while consistently maintaining and improving the quality of our service.
Responsibilities:
Operations support
- Maintain and improve key systems and processes, including CRM data, mailing lists, and shared platforms like SharePoint
- Manage shared inboxes, internal communications, meetings, and day-to-day team coordination
- Provide wider operational support, including managing equipment and systems, basic troubleshooting, data protection, and staff coordination (e.g. meetings, holidays)
Programme and Communications support
- Working closely with the Events Manager, coordinate event delivery, including promotion, registrations, attendee communications, and on-the-day support for 10 online Lunch & Learn events, 2 in-person workshops and 2 community events a year.
- Support event logistics (venues, catering) and ensure all data, feedback and learnings are captured and recorded in our CRM
- Assist with website updates, weekly social media activity, and community engagement and track monthly performance across channels
- Support and maintain impact metrics and participant feedback across all activities
- Contribute to research and information gathering for programme development and fundraising as needed

Person Specification
- Highly organised, with experience supporting organisational operations and/or programme delivery
- Strong attention to detail and some experience working with databases and CRM systems; familiarity with a number of these systems is a plus
- Experience supporting events (online and in-person) and managing multiple priorities simultaneously
- Comfortable and experienced with various forms of technology including digital tools (e.g. excel, social media platforms, content tools)
- Clear communicator who enjoys working collaboratively across a team
- Proactive, solutions-focused, and keen to positively contribute to a growing organisation
Nice to haves:
- An understanding of volunteering and Skilled Volunteering in particular
- Knowledge, and some direct experience, with the charity sector
- An understanding of the opportunities and challenges faced by small charitable organisations today

We are excited to be supporting St. Lukes Hospice (Basildon & District), to find a part time Supporter CRM & Data Manager.
This is a hybrid role based at the peaceful countryside Thurrock Hospice site in Essex, with 22.5 hours (3 days) per week, working pattern can be discussed. (£18,034.28 - 23,393.39 depending on experience)

The Role
Development, management and review of processes and procedures for all fundraising income and data across on and offline platforms.
Management and development of the Hospices supporter CRM (Donorflex), leading the relationship with the CRM provider and other data management suppliers.
Development and implementation of appropriate CRM training and reference materials for the Hospices CRM users.
Management of the fundraising and marketing data selection function.
Management of the teams reporting and insight function, ensuring provision of necessary reports, insights and learning to support future income.
Work with key colleagues across the organisation to support the wider Hospices Data Strategy and development of our data architecture.
Line management, development and provision of professional support and guidance to our Supporter Data Officers and volunteers.
The Candidate
Experience of CRM database management with excellent knowledge of CRM databases.
Experience of managing income and data processes and reconciliation.
Experience of working with data for marketing purposes, including compliant handling of communication preferences and building marketing data selections.
Experience of undertaking data analysis and presenting in appropriate formats to inform business decisions.
Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of data protection legislation and industry-specific regulation and experience of ensuring compliance within processes and working practices.

Rural Housing Enabler

About the role
We are seeking a Rural Housing Enabler to join our friendly team and help tackle the rural housing challenges in Suffolk.
In this role, you will:
- Play a crucial part in increasing the supply of affordable housing in Suffolk
- Engage with communities and provide a range of support including:
- Raising awareness of the need for affordable housing
- Facilitating initial discussions to assess need
- Gather evidence of need around rural housing
- Liaise and engage with stakeholders
- Assist parishes throughout the journey of developing their own local housing schemes
In this role, clear communication is essential. You’ll be presenting to a range of audiences, and working in partnership with communities / community leaders, parish councils, district and county authorities, landowners, developers, housing organisations, and other partners to bring forward affordable rural housing projects in Suffolk. Good IT skills, and the ability to build strong relationships are crucial.
Although this role is predominately desk space there will be some travel around the county and within rural areas of Suffolk. Access to a car is advantageous.
The ideal candidate will have the following experience/skills:
- Excellent working knowledge of the issues affecting housing in Suffolk, and other issues affecting rural communities
- Experience/ understanding of working in supporting rural communities thorough consultation for affordable and/or community led housing
- A good understanding of the principles of quality community consultation
- Working with local authorities, parish councils, housing associations and similar organisations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
