Job Description

We are looking for a highly organised and enthusiastic team player to become our new Admin and HR Officer.

Peace Direct is a small organisation with a big ambition: to change the way the international community responds to violent conflicts around the world, by supporting local efforts to stop violence and build peace. We also want to inspire the general public to support the work of local people on the ground who are working tirelessly to build peace. This is a very exciting time for Peace Direct, as we have been growing at a fast pace over the last few years and are likely to grow even more in the coming years.

The Admin and HR Officer role is an important part of our office 'ecosystem' that ensures that the organisation functions effectively. The role is responsible for handling all external enquiries, dealing with all suppliers and supplies, acting as the focal point for any IT problems and ensuring that the HR processes are operating well. The role doesn't require any prior experience of HR or IT or any relevant qualification. What we are looking for is someone who is very well organised, is super helpful, who can manage multiple priorities and who is a quick learner. The role is ideal for someone who either wants to step into a HR role for an international NGO and/or who wants to gain experience in an international NGO more broadly. Finally, we are looking for someone who genuinely believes in our mission to stop violent conflict and build sustainable peace and who is excited by the prospect of joining a dynamic and growing international charity.

The deadline for applications is 5pm on 9th June 2019. However, due to the urgent need to fill this position quickly, we will be reviewing applications on a rolling basis. Only completed applications will be accepted and only applicants with the right to work in the UK will be considered. The application form and Job Description are available on our website and via the CharityJob website.
